110: Cristo Redentor

Hi.

Today all songs I've heard (untill NOW) of the Duke Pearson song

Cristo Redentor,

a beautiful song he wrote after taking a trip to Latin America...

Musselwhite, Byrd & Mandell are versions probably lotsa folks know,

the others (perhaps) a little less.

My good friend Hans send me the version from Guaraldi,

a reader & (jazzy) listener, Dieter send the fantastic one by Fathead

and others I tracked down with a little help from our friends at AMG.

Magnus didn't cover it actually, but used a sample (from Byrd)

and built a new song around that. Great album btw.

(though AMG has really nothing to say bout-it, shame)

Discogs does a better job, btw I have the 2004 CD+DVD version :-)
