109: Devil Deux...

Hi.
Today some Dutch contributions to the devil's work...
So, indeed a few Dutch bands, a stone(d) cold classic,
some rockabilly & reggae sounds, a little obscurity and
a touch of jazzed-out soulfunk, and then it's done!
[:-)
Remember, after seeing a show of the Urban Dance Squad,
some (then unknown) people started a band,
for the world soon to be known as Rage Against The Machine...
UDS made that happen!
See, also the devil works in mysterious ways!
-
I'm not the devil's advocate,
though sometimes I tend to think I am.
A bit.
-
So,
for now,
do dig & deal with the devil's doings, part deux!
Enjoy.

Over at the BeatHunter's place, he presented something he found...

108: Cat!

Hi.
Finally, the new cat in our house, was willingly
to pose for a little snapshot!
She's very cautious,
she's been living in the wild her whole (young) life.
But she's adapting well and has good manners.
Nice to see she sometimes "duplicates" some
things of the "master-of-the-house"
our other, 18 year old cat :-)
So, this post is a bit for Piwi (and Pinch ofcourse)
Enjoy.

107: Twice As Nice, part 8

Hi.
Today the twice as nice selection team
is once again back in da house!
The Bill Withers 'standard' is for many
musicians a fav to cover.
(it's a great song, I must admit)
-
For the pic above,
well, sorry it doesn't have anything
to do with these 10 songs,
it's just a nice shot
(from the inside)
of a 60's Citroën DS,
a 'so well shaped' car, that it is
(also from the outside)
PROBABLY,
(one of)
the most beautiful car(s) in the world.
Ever.
-
Not being in a very talkative mood today either,
so I'll just add this to today's thoughts:
enjoy!

Hi.
Today I'm back with part 3 of the ode to the "Ode To Billie Joe".
I checked on the CD's I have of Bobbie Gentry,
on some of them it's Billy Joe, on others Billie Joe...
First time I noticed this was when I did once more some (tiring)
research on the w.w.w. for more covers of this great song.
I had (much appreciated!) help of countless fellow-bloggers,
and ofcourse all the musicians who were inspired to
actually cover this beautiful song...
