Seeing the Szabo version of Lucy here was the clincher for me...I used to have a 45 of him doing Dear Prudence that was one of the first Jazz guitar interpretation of ANYTHING I enjoyed (and started me down the road to enjoying Jazz back in the late 60s-early 70s) and lead me to Steve Marcus doing Tomorrow Never Knows and Herbie Mann doing Flying off of the Stone Flute LP.
Would you consider adding them to a playlist/mix? Or are you already that hip and I'm just late to the party?
Thanks for this one. I'm subscribing. you can thank Le Porc Rouge.
D, some Gabor stuff is really amazing indeed! And, yes, maybe we both should thank Porco Rosso, right? [:-)
welcome aboard, hope you find some more goodies here!
peace, E-mile
